There are some Christians who set their intended way of life or goals so high or in the order of their Christian beliefs that when they inevitably fail; they become discouraged to the point of questioning their faith at times which causes the drift away from Christ. In addition to the troublesome or confusing aspects with Christianity, there are some Christians who believe that one should be casted to hell for sinful actions, yet there are those who believe that not accepting Christ or asking for forgiveness of such unlawful ways of life will result in one entering the gates of hell, however, continuing to sin despite "accepting Christ" is not indeed following Christ. Christianity influences a person’s thinking and behavior because those who follow such a faith tend to think in a more positive light on just about everything because their thought is once you put all matters in God’s hands, all obstacles can be overcome. Also, behavioral wise, Christians are good Samaritans because they tend to lend a helping no matter ones’ religion, race, or gender.
Reflection
I am not a Christian, but my worldview coincides with the Christianity belief when it comes to putting faith into God because with God, all troubles can be overcome and the factor of living a positive life despite the various negative aspects present in the world today, is a value I believe in. I make it an effort to follow God’s commandments, but we are all human and someway, somehow, sinful acts are present within our lives in which I do hold the belief of repenting.
Conclusion
For the Christian worldview, there is only one God who is almighty, knowledgeable, loving, merciful, sovereign and beyond human understanding. God is the creator of all things and we were made in God’s image with love as well as purpose. Also, known as the Trinity, God is the combination of three distinct parts, the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God gave his only son, Jesus to die for our sins for mankind to live an eternal life, but with the fall of humanity because of Adam and Eve, the result of sin as well as death is the direct consequence. Jesus lived on earth where he spread the good gospel until the time frame of his crucifixion and his sacrifice opened the gates of heaven where souls can ascend after death.
