Reflection
My life as a Christian is lived by the words of Luke 6:31, Do unto others as you would have them do to you. I do my best to treat others the same way that I want to be treated and that is with respect and the way that God would want me to treat them. I’m not perfect at it but I try my best to live my life according to the words of God. Sometimes it gets hard but I know that if I slip up, God will still be there with outstretched arms to forgive me. Being open to the viewpoints of others and not shutting them down because they may not be Christian is another way I live out my beliefs. When you’re a Christian and you look at the world the way that God looks at it, you want to do what you can to help others. This helps me to teach his word whenever I have the opportunity. My outlook on the world is completely different than it was before I became a Christian and I find myself asking what it is that I can do to help. I know that I can’t save the world but maybe I can at least make a difference in someone’s life. The best that I can do is to try and carry myself the way that Jesus did. I know that I’ll have my failures along the way because I am a human, but knowing that I am at least making an attempt helps me for the next day.
Conclusion
God gave his only son for us so that we may live. Knowing who Jesus is and what his purpose was in his life is the first step towards our salvation. Once see who Jesus really was and what his purpose was, then we can accept him into our lives without doubt or hesitation. All of our forgiveness and salvation can only be provided through God. We must realize that he is a caring and a forgiving God in order to be able to understand the Christian worldview. Knowing what Christian worldview stands for and that there is an eternal life after we have left this earth will not only help us, but also with problems in our society. If we say we are Christians then we should act as Christians. The lord was given to us and sacrificed himself for our sins in order for us to have eternal life. What we do with that life as Christians is important to whether or not we will enter the kingdom of heaven and have eternal life. Because faith is central to the Christian life, believers must have a clear understanding of how the Bible defines the word and the concept (Sproul,2010)
