Reflection

I am a Christian, but I am not a perfect Christian. I believe in all the Christian beliefs. However, it is a challenge to always uphold those beliefs. I strive daily to uphold the image of God, the image of which we were created in. Being Christian entails treating fellow humans with dignity and respect (Valk 2012). This is something that I always make sure to do. I have love for others, and I try to help those in need when I can. I believe I do a decent job at upholding the Christian beliefs. The one thing that I do not do is attend church on a regular basis. I believe that I do not have to attend a church to worship God. I read my bible, and study God’s word on my own. I grew up attending church, but since moving to Louisiana from Texas I have not found a church I want to attend on a regular basis. I worship God in my home, and do my best to spread his word wherever I go.

Conclusion

Although there are plenty of different worldviews out there, the Christian worldview is the only one that lives by a set of commands. Christians believe that God was their creator and made sacrifices for us. Because of that we as Christians worship God, and follow the guidelines he has given us to live by. "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created." (Revelation 4:11 NIV) Jesus was the Son of God who died on the cross to save us from our sins. This act shows us not only the love that God had for us, but also gave us a chance for redemption to be able to enter heaven. Christians spend their lives trying to prove to God that they are worthy to enter this kingdom by trying to live life as the type of person Jesus was when he was here on earth.
