We suggest that the teachers give her the chance to speak during classes and ask her to always join on group works, activities and play time so she can grow and develop her social skills and confidence in front of her classmates. These kinds of opportunities will be very critical to her development in terms of her social skills. In order to teach these skills, not only teachers but also her parents must be a role model when it comes to showing the appropriate ways how social environment works, teaching her how to respectfully interact, work and respond to others.

2. Attention

Belle, from time to time, wants to seek attention from her teachers and even from us. In many instances she tends to cling and hug the teachers, and me moments even to us but she also loses her attention really quickly. She would go from listening to the teacher to looking at the ceiling or playing with her jacket and shoes.

We suggest that from time to time she would have one-on-one discussion or session with her teacher so that she can focus better learn more about the lesson on the given day.

3. Speech

Speech therapy is done to help a child with special needs develop their self help skills and independence for activities of daily living, actively participate in life experiences and eventually help them build healthy social relationships with others.
