In addition to this, our protagonists also have various feelings and thoughts when they need to face the situation. The star-crossed lovers become married in Friar Laurence’s cell, which is done in secret. The couple looks very calm and attentive to their marriage ceremony. However, Romeo and Juliet do not act that calm compared to how they act before getting married in the marriage. Before the marriage ceremony begins, Romeo meet with the Nurse and talks about where would the marriage settle. Romeo keeps on reminding the Nurse about the marriage and even asks her to say what she will say to Juliet. “What wilt thou tell her, nurse? Thou dost not mark me.” (II, 4, 180-181). Though he acts like he is very calm, his body is not reacting the way his face is showing. On the other hand, Juliet is hoping the Nurse to come back because the clock has already struck nine. “The clock struck nine when I did send the nurse; In half an hour she promised to return. Perchance she cannot meet him. That’s not so. O, she is lame!” (II, 5, 1-4.) Juliet is nervous, because she is too excited to know about the news of her future husband, Romeo. Juliet shows her feelings directly unlike Romeo, who is covering his feelings and pretending to be calm about their marriage. Romeo is much more mature than Juliet in this situation.

Though the drama ended in catastrophe, the plot of the story is truly touching our hearts. Within these reactions in the story, we can draw conclusions that Romeo and Juliet’s personalities are very different. They react differently, think differently, and speak differently. Even though their personalities are different, they still face the problems and obstacles together. Romeo and Juliet, the star-crossed lovers, meet each other at a feast to which Romeo has not been invited, their families are bitter enemies as in a result, the way they respond has little resemblance.
