One example from the life of Benvolio is on page 688, when Romeo and his group of friends were getting ready to crash the Capulet party, Benvolio encouraged Romeo to find a new love at the party, and that the fastest way to do so was by starting to dance. This shows that Benvolio is a good mentor and friend to Romeo because it shows that he actually cares about having his friend succeed. I am like Benvolio in this manner because I have, multiple times, encouraged my friends to do things like this, such as encouraging them to try something new, and it worked. Both Benvolio and I were able to influence our friends to do something in order to help them to be better at something. If I was able to be more like Benvolio in the aspect, I would be able to help many people accomplish goals in their life.
After seeing how much alike Benvolio and I are, I have found that the traits we both have allow us to have many friends and a role in leadership in the world. By having the ability to end arguments and fights, both Benvolio and I are good examples of leaders to lead other people. By bringing out the good, and sometimes the bad in other people as well as being able to help them through their lives, I am able to quickly make friends with those people, just like Benvolio does in the play “Romeo and Juliet”. If I could be more like Benvolio, I would, because although we are similar, the mind of a teenage boy thinks differently from others, and if I could be more like him, I would become a better person overall.
