A Time I Learned to How to Play Volleyball Meanwhile thinking back to something I learned to do, I ponder on the learning of how to play volleyball. Remembering how I learned to play was in a middle school gym when my gym teacher began to educate me. The method showed was very nonchalant; she only showed how to execute the fundamentals.

To start, she showed how to pass, next how to hold my hands straight out, thus making a platform, putting one hand over another and locking it in place. Soon after, she showed how to set, by making a triangle with my hands, and holding them over my head. Subsequently, she showed how to hit the ball without much precision. She only taught that holding one hand out as a guide and then just hit with the other hand.

There were many steps missing. Unfortunately, she did not explain it as in depth as she should have and lastly she did not clarify how to transition into the different positions. The first time I did this on my own, I did not perform well at all, and I learned most of what, I know now from watching others who were so much more experienced. No matter what, I still, loved the game and kept learning all aspects I could.

I wouldn’t add anything to either except to make better examples within each one of my points. In addition, my biggest challenge is to keep sentence structure and form, in addition to giving clear examples to collaborate the points made. I will overcome these challenges by seeking outside help. With an outside source, I will relearn earlier academic procedures in sentence structuring. I would suggest that when a student is struggling that an instructor could indicate extra (volunteer) class work. Or at least point them in the right direction to help them achieve the needed knowledge to accomplish the assignments. As far as for me, I have to figure out what I need to overcome my writing challenges. I’m not sure of; I’m still just as confused about what the writing requirements are, but, on the other hand, I have somewhat aced on how to write a paper in APA style. Now I need to educate myself to write using the proper verbiage. What’s more, yes, I am a work in progress sort of woman in which you have somewhat changed my opinion of writing. Thank you.
