That is until a new art teacher named Ram arrived in the picture who has the patience and compassion to discover the real problem behind Ishaa’s struggles in school. Ram worked in an orphan institution where there are different cases of disorders for children and figured out that Ishaan had a dyslexia. He wanted to help Ishaa on his struggles and set him free from what’s troubling him. Ram indeed was a good teacher. He had a great compassion and care for his students. I really admire him a lot. Ram made me realized to care and understand those children who have inborn disabilities and not to elude nor discriminate them. I suddenly felt guilty of the sin because every time I saw a special child, I can’t even dare to look or stare him/her for a second. I don’t know why I have this strange feeling towards them that as if they’ll going to bite or do something bad to me. Now, I fully understand how silly, selfish and conceited I am through these years. It’s a good choice that I’ve watch this movie. I’ve learned and realized something.

There’s a line there that struck me, “Care Cure”. And 100% I agree. Ram became the catalyst of change for Ishaa, for the teachers and for Ishaa’s parents. He helps Ishaan to have self-confidence and discover Ishaan’s potential and talent. Other teachers end up realizing that they must examine and became compassionate for their students’ needs and problems as well. Ishaan’s parents finally understood why their son is acting and behaving that way. They see their negligence as parents that they failed to see the real situation of their son and instead throw the blame in every wrong thing Ishaa did. They failed to understand the needs of a child which was a deeper understanding, love and care, the third level of hierarchy of needs called “love”.

Thus, children of tomorrow are expected to lead the nation to become a better and prosperous in the future. But, if those children will be misguided and the nurturing is missing, the care is ignored, and the innocence thwarted, the hopes will slowly fade away. As the hope of the nation, change must begin within us and influence others to become better. Two thumbs up for “Like Stars on Earth (Every child is special). Aamir Khan is the best from “Three idiots to “Like Stars on Earth” were simply fantastic!
