We live in routine the work, the school, the gym, the responsibilities in home, and we forget to talk with others around, have a conversation; in agreement with Dr. George Vaillant, director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development “The only thing that really matters in life are your relationships with other people”(www.earlytorise.com)”. We can spend time with people with love, family, friends, with the community; we can feel energized and while more time spend with others we contributing to our happiness.
“Money contributes to happiness but only to certain point, having more money does not increase happiness “(www.gallup.com)”. Argue a study by Dr. Daniel Kahenman and Dr. Angus Deaton. Once we have enough money to cover the necessities and a few luxuries is fine. Some people really think the money is the most important thing in the world.
We can learn how jump off from the hedonic treadmill but we need a practice and patience. I visit the coffee shop frequently enough; I get bursts of joy (for a moment) I adapt it that new part of my environment. Over the long term all of the money a spent, there caused a lot of financial problems. We can found in a situation that reduces our life’s options. We could not buy a car or we could not make a big plans for vacations, we were stuck and that hurt. I can jump off the treadmill I had to stop going to that coffee shop and realize this visit cause a horrible negative in my life, check what else I can reduce my costs of money and make my priorities.
