working in small groups, large groups, alone, etcetera. Knowing yourself is critical in daily life, and college definitely prepares people for that.
College also teaches students to be resourceful. Hrabowski suggests that, “Students and families should learn as much as possible about each institution they are considering.” Using resources in life is extremely important because sometimes in life you may be forced to work with what you have, whether it’s in the work field or at home. Signing up for scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial aid teaches you to take advantage of as much as possible. In life you may not have the best resources, but I feel that college most definitely prepares students for that by exposing them to the reality of making the most of what is there.
In my opinion, I strongly believe that college prepares you for life. College makes you deal with things on your own, exposes you to different points of view, and also provides you with a better chance of employment. Even though one of the main reasons people go to college is to be more financially stable, college provides you with a vast amount of
lessons and trials that’ll prepare you for how the real world works for later in life.
