In the film, they have been communicating among each other through face to face meetings and conversations.

In this case, there are words which are intimidating and insulting for the employees, and there was a diverse workforce, Steve was not sensitive to how words might offend others.

Conflicts and Negotiations

When Jobs was a teenager, for instance, his friend Steve Wozniak created a variation on the “blue box” devices that tricked phone company computers into giving free, long-distance calls. Later, Gigney said, Jobs would say: “When Woz and I invented the blue box.” Woziak was the prime inventor of many Apple innovations. Jobs also had tech smarts, but he added something more. “He was like a generation's storyteller,” Gibney said.

Steve Jobs became more and more angry and aggressive because of the continuing drop in Macintosh sales. He blamed everyone for it, except for himself. Steve just did not see that the "problem was with him.") In the end, he blamed even Sculley for the crisis and wanted to lead the company himself. But this seemed impossible to everyone else: "Steve was a big thinker, an inspirational motivator, but not a day-to-day manager. What was sad was that he could not see it.")

There were conflicts in his relationship, as he denied that Lisa was not her daughter, and was quite hesitant to share his earnings and wealth with his wife and daughter.

He was unwanted by his biological parents, he was given up for adoption. Steve was aware that it took all of his adoptive parent’s savings to get him into college. He quit because of the expense, trusting there was a different path for him.

Disagreements between the co-founders resulted in the board of Directors siding with Steve Wozniak and firing Steve Jobs from his own company.

However, there was a conflict when Andy Hertsfeld told Steve Jobs that he has given money to Lisa for her semester fees and socks, this made him angry that why did he do this as it was not his responsibility and he is not his father. Although, Andy knew that somebody had to do that.

Understanding Work Teams

Work Team: One of the keys to Apple is that Apple is incredible collaborative company. They don’t have any committees in the company. They are fairly organized like a startup. One person is in charge of iPhone iOS, another on is in charge of Mac hardware, one person is in charge of iPhone hardware, one is in charge of worldwide marketing, one is in charge of operations. It’s organized like a start up, which is the biggest start up on the planet. They all meet for 3 hours once a week and they talk about everything they are doing. There is tremendous teamwork at the top of the company, which filters down to tremendous teamwork throughout the company. Team work here is dependent on trusting the other folks to come through their part without watch on them all the time, but trusting them that they are going to come through with their parts. That is what they do really well. They are great in figuring out how to divide things up in great teams they have. Steve Jobs himself, what he used to do all day is, meet with teams of people, and work on ideas and solve problems to make new products and new marketing programs.

Perception and Individual Decision Making

Individual Differences in Decision Making: His escalation of commitment made him to be passionate about his work, and could do anything to grow Apple. Many actions in his career were controversial and at certain points risked the future of the company. He had an extraordinary ability to push his company and employees to the limits without going over the edge. As he had adopted an authoritative leadership where he remained calm, but pressurized others.

Gender; he was a man, but his confidante, the marketing director had analyzed his decisions more than him as women are thought to be like that.

Mental Ability: Steve Jobs was one of the greatest thinker of all time. Steve was a showman. He knew people were doubtful to new ideas. He’d put on a show to uncover and demonstrate his inventions so that you could understand his vision and get excited. He was also a self-admirer in a way that great entrepreneurs are great preachers as well. That is why he was also known for great presentations and public messages.

Perception: Jobs sees the same things as other leaders, but he perceives them differently.

Perception separates the innovator from the imitator. For example, dozens of people saw the graphical user interface set-up at the Xerox, but it was Jobs who, in 1979, perceived it differently and went on to adopt and adapt the technology for what ultimately became the first Macintosh computer, in 1984.

Factors in the perceiver; Steve Jobs though differently because he perceived differently. He was exposed to divergent ideas, places and people.

This forced his brain to make connections it otherwise might miss. Steve Jobs has done this his entire life.

Jobs wanted the Apple II to be the first personal computer people used in their homes, so he sought inspiration for it in the kitchen appliance aisle at Macy’s.

Jobs exposed himself to a broad set of human experiences; experiences that literally kick-start the creative process.
