1.6 Definition of Terms

1.6.1 Operational Terms

• Cash. Is seen either as a reserve for payments, in case of a structural or incidental negative cash flow or as a way to avoid a downturn on financial markets.

• Customer. Is the recipient of a good, service, product, or idea, obtained from a seller, vendor, or supplier for a monetary or other valuable consideration.

• Equipment. The implements used in an operation or activity

• Function Room. A room in a hotel, pub, sports center etc that is used for parties, meetings etc

• Online. Controlled by or connected to another computer or to a network. While so connected or under computer control in or into operation or existence.

• PayPal. An electronic commerce (e-commerce) company that facilitates payments between parties through online funds transfers.

• Sports Complex. Is a group of sports facilities. There are track and field stadiums, football stadiums, baseball stadiums, swimming pools, and gymnasiums.

• HTML. (HyperText Markup Language) is the main markup language for creatin web apge and other information that can be displayed in a web browser.

• HTTP. (HyperText Transfer Protocol) is an application protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems. HTTPs is the foundation of data communication for the World Wide Web.

• HTTPS. (HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure) is a communications protocol for secure communication over a computer network, with especially wide deployment on the Internet. Technically, t is not a protocol in and of itself, rather it is the result of simply layering the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) ont top of the SSL/TLS protocol, thus adding the security capabilities of SSL/TLS to standard HTTP communication.

• PHP. (Hypertext Preprocessor). is a server-side scripting language designed for web development but also used as a general-purpoose programming language.

• SQL. (Structured Query Language). Is a special-purpose programming language designed for managing data held in a relational database management system.

• User Interface. The portion of a program in which the user interacts.

• Wamp. Is a Windows web development environment. It allows you to create web applications with Apache2, PHP and a MySQL database. Alongside. PhpMyAdmin allows you to manage easily your databases.

• Web browser. (commonly referred to as a browser) is a software applications for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.
