on her. He even goes as far as to put a huge diamond pendant (Heart of the Ocean) in Jacks pocket to make it look like he stole it and get him locked up and out of the picture from his fiancé. He belittles Jack and other lower class passengers and ships staff on more than one occasion due to them not having the high social status of the rich and elite that he socializes with. He does this to make himself look better and put himself on a pedestal compared to others. His character is one that is easy to hate and find offensive with his egoistic better than everyone else attitude.

The boat sinks and Cal manages to get on a lifeboat by grabbing a small unattended child and saying “I’m all she’s got in this world.” Rose and Jack go down with the ship and struggle to stay warm in the freezing water as they wait for the lifeboats to return. Jack doesn’t make it until the lifeboats come to find survivors and dies holding the hand of the love of his life. Rose makes it back to land and changes her name to Rose Dawson. It also is a beautiful love story that will leave you in tears at the end but make you feel good inside to know Rose finally found happiness and peace in her life.
