The communication will also aim at sensitizing people on the proper use of Care condoms as it came out clear that some users experienced discomfort in using Care. Our assumption on this is that when it is not properly inserted, the female is likely to experience discomfort.
- Product (Packaging)[pic 10][pic 11]
The product has 2 different packages, White and Pink. The observation is that the Care self-adhesive sticker on a white package looks bad as one can clearly see the FC 2 logo and colors. On a pink package, the Care self-adhesive sticker looks fairly good and the FC 2 logo and Colors are not noticeable.
While we have no control over packaging, the Pink one looks good, of course in a long term we may consider redesigning a sticker so that it is in sync with the green packaging. [pic 12]
If white packaging will continue to be stocked, we would strongly recommend having Care adhesive stickers that will not be transparent
- Price:
Participants were asked to how much they would be willing to pay for Care. The price suggestions ranged from K100 to K200.
HCD Gaps identified
This segment outlines gaps that the HCD did not address and we hope the research team will help fill in the gaps. Below are HCD assessment gaps;
- To find out if the insert is enough to guide someone on how to use Care (cutting off orientation). The study will help us to review both the insert as well as review our distribution model. Currently, the “assumption” or experiences from other countries like Zimbabwe is that Care is difficult to use, therefore requires orientation which limits its distribution.
