What is our argument? (continued)
Justification:
Our experiment has shown us that the more water we had sprayed inside a beaker, the hotter the temperature had gotten. The greenhouse effect works the same way. If there are more greenhouse gasses in the air, then the Earth would have warmer temperatures. We had also observed in our experiment that when we sprayed less water inside of a beaker, then the temperatures were cooler. This also tells us that if there were not enough greenhouse gasses in the air, the temperatures would also be cooler on Earth.

Justification:
According to this graph, carbon dioxide levels have gone up drastically since 1950. There are many physical effects that are caused by high levels of carbon dioxide. One of these effects are the rising of global temperatures. Since the temperatures are warmer, ice sheets are shrinking, there is less Arctic ice, a decreasing amount of snow, and even oceans are getting warmer. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is also being dissolved into the ocean, which alters ocean chemistry leading to ocean acidification. Sea levels are rising and extreme events are happening more often. This shows that global climate is changing.
Claim:
Based upon our research and experiment, we believe that global climate change is occurring. Our evidence shows that the Earth is getting warmer because of the many greenhouse gasses that get in the atmosphere every day. In the past, temperatures were cooler and there was more snow. This is not what is happening now. Temperatures are getting warmer and there is more sunshine. The greenhouse effect is what informs us that global climate change is occurring.
