Art vs Science
Unfortunately we have been living an endless debate on social networks about what is the most important, the study and application of the science or the use and application of art. Obviously technocrats advocate that is science while the artist state that is art. However both are wrong[a].
This topic has been debated throughout the history without having an answer or with no winners, therefore the question has no sense at all. let's start from the paradigm that we are all connected, either in space, time, biology, sociology, or soul in a more spiritual way. For a better comprehension let's think about in this example, Avatar by James Cameron, the knowledge then, together with all their branches form an Holistic Concept, likewise, each of the parts has the same meaning or relevance to form a whole. Let´s think in this, the creation of the science and technology had always worked without doubts like a tool to increase or maximize the existence of human beings, for instance. the computer which you use for watching videos or news, it represents an extension of your eyes therefore we can see the person that is further without the need of being there, and then when we write below the video or post a facebook state, is this an extension of our mouths. Curiously the art is not looking for something different, through transcend the barriers of time and space look for increase or maximize as well the existence of human beings, that is to say, both are different tools but they have a same purpose and if they converge can create masterpieces. Somebody could tell would be of Kubrick without cameras or how could pink floyd exist without the bass, drums, keyboards and guitars, or how many of us would read a book if the printing press would´t be invented, and indeed in an attempt to perfect the art, the technology is perfected.
If even so we still keep asking if the science needs art, well, it does, therefore for creating we need to understand and precisely that is the arts purpose, that we can understand us like human beings residents of a planet that pretends to improve.
In conclusion, yes, art and science have the same weight and this helps us to not judge any of the knowledge branches because we know that all have a relevance in a functional society and any of them are simple[b].
[a]maybe add the main Idea of what are you going to talk about.
