continue to love each other without the old habits that would always take place. But they knew that could never be true again. You could see the faint look in Harold’s eyes of wanting to believe what his beloved Carlie was saying. That just somehow she came to the grip of the deep love that they have always had. The tension could be cut with a butter knife, the old love was still there. Harold knew how he treated Carlie was wrong and sinful. If he could have just came to the senses that he should have treated her better things would be perfect between them.

Suddenly, Harold lunged forward and tried to grab Carlie’s neck. Quickly, Carlie grabbed the kitchen knife and stepped back towards the wall. She knew what had to be done in order for the past to keep coming back to her. He lunged at her once more and wrapped his hands around Carlie’s neck, she frantically tried to get out of his unbearable grip. Carlie brought down the kitchen knife down into Harold’s skull. Harold’s ugly eyes trembled and his skinny body fell to the ground. He looked fuzzy, his body raw like a robust, rotten person. Then he let out an agonising groan and let out his last breath. Moments later Harold Bond was dead. Carlie started screaming with fear and what she had just done. She sat next to his body with the deep sadness that she was facing. She tried to comprehend that this was somewhat good for her and the future for herself. As she was crying away the betrayal, she couldn’t stop staring at the lifeless body of someone she had loved so deeply and affectionately. The past was going through her head about how Harold had treated her. It was almost like things started to feel normal for once in her life again without Harold. There was still a trembling mannerism in the air from what had just happened with the former lovers. But what had happened was the best thing for her in the end. It was almost like her answers were being solved to the massive problem in her life.

Carlie sat down in the kitchen and poured herself a nice glass of whiskey on the rocks. Ever since the issues, she became a habitual drinker. She tried getting help for it, but Harold kept trying to come back into her life and it just made the matter worse. The only way she could help her pain that she had endured, was drinking into a whisky lullaby. After the third glass, She stood up suddenly from the chair and suddenly became light headed. She thought that maybe she had just gotten drunk really fast. Every thing in the room seemed to be spinning and she got light of breath. She went to walk to the sink to grab a glass of water to replenish herself. She then realized what had been done, he poisoned her whisky. She tried frantically to grab the phone to call 911 but the poison hit her so suddenly that she fell to the ground by Harold. Gasping for air, she laid on her side and turned towards Harold. Laying next to him as she could feel the poison running through her body, she grabbed his hand. She said aloud “Maybe we can be happy together up in heaven.” A slight tear rolled down her face and as she took her last breath, she smiled for the first time in a while. Carlie and Harold laid lifeless next to each other in the midst of a former love.
