Being a sports athlete can lead to unethical behavior as well . Rise to fame and making millions of dollars will definitely get to you as an athlete. Athletes are stars to many people and role models for many kids. Arron Hernandez was a great role model for kids for a while until he killed another football player . What lead to him to do something like that was money, power and fame. It was more than just unethical behavior. Because you have more money than the average person it doesn't give you the right to do things like that. Rae Carruth had his girlfriend murdered. He paid a man to kill her. He also skipped bail and was arrested. He now serves a sentence of 18 to 24 years in prison. Money leads to unethical behavior and there are many example of that with pro athletes.
Do you believe that American society as a whole is predisposed to ethical or unethical behavior? We believe American society as a whole is predisposed to ethical and unethical behavior. As Americans we experience that these types of behavior on an daily basis. Sometimes we think twice or we just act on it. Many individuals are only thinking about themselves, and what is best for them. They do not realize that sometimes the decision that is made, can affect others. Unethical behavior is something that is done with the intention of taking advantage of another, without their knowledge or consent. Unethical isn't always illegal and can be just not doing the right thing. Ethical behavior is characterized by honesty and fairness. It what is right with no questions asked. As we said this is something we do everyday. Each day of our lives is dealt with ethical and unethical decisions. Also its just part of being human.
