through an epic journey to find what they are doing wrong with their life.
Of all Ray Bradbury’s stories one of the most classic would be, “ The Pedestrian” he writes that technology will fail society, in his short story. The story which is set in the year 2053, Mr. Leonard Mead a guy who goes on several strolls in the city throughout the day is the only one who does so. People are stuck watching TV and playing with technology, then one night a pig pulls over cuffs him and takes him to jail for no good reason. The streets are deserted no one walks them anymore. The police try to send Mr. Mead to a research center to learn why he isn’t watching mind numbing television like the rest of the folk but they could not find an answer.
Ray uses this story to show how modern technology like television will ruin our society, ruin communication and could cause much bigger problems.
In another one of Bradbury’s amazing and timeless stories, “ The Veldt”, which could be considered the most questionable story he wrote. Ray wonders why humans need technology in many of his stories. Another example would include “The Veldt”. George Hadley is the main character in this story he buys a virtual house and threatens to “shut it down” in order to keep his family together. The reaction to this from his children was to make it the house into a veldt and the children fed their mom and dad to lions. Ray’s message in this short story is that technology can be used in despicable ways by evil people, people who even are close to one another. In many of Bradbury’s shot stories he portrays technology as evil and the end of human kind.
The twenties, being both an inventive time and very hard time helped people realize what they want to do and excel in it. Ray Bradbury, even though he was born in a small town in Illinois gathered a lot of inspiration and imagination and shared his gift and changed writing for

the better by making his novels and short stories exciting and adventurous. Having had four girls and a beautiful spouse gave Ray more love and support than anyone could ask for, but he was also given more love and support by his readers. In high school he couldn’t decide what he wanted to do as an adult but in the end he made the best decision and the one he new was right form the start, becoming an author. With his dream of becoming famous never dying he became a very well known American writer. Ray Bradbury was able to portray themes and messages of realization and problems within our society, to spark a movement of change within people. Unfortunately, in current society people spend more time on their phone than with their loved ones. If anything, Ray Bradbury was a guy with great creativity and ingenuity and should be remembered throughout time, not just because to the countless short stories and books he wrote, but because of his deep passion for what he did. Ray Bradbury was a man who did what he loved and even through the hardships he stuck with it.
