inspect them and find absolutely nothing wrong with them, they might as well have been brand new. I asked him how much he wanted, and he responded $150. That’s how much they are retail, and if I wanted to buy a brand-new pair I would not be wasting my time with this guy and would have just bought them at a store. I tell him that there is no way I am paying retail for used sunglasses and countered his offer for $70. He seemed offended by my offer and then went on describing how they were in mint condition. I inspected them once more, I really wanted them but my reservation price was only $90, and he was asking way too much from me. Being that we were so far apart in price, I jump to my bottom line and pulled out the $90 from my wallet, making sure that he saw me pull out every single bill I had in there. The man scoffed and waved his hand at me in dismay. I reached out my hand to apologize that we could not make a deal and got up out of my chair. As I turned to walk away, he suddenly shouted at me to wait and said he would accept my $90. He wasn’t happy as we were preforming the transaction and I tried to contain my excitement. I walked away with a screaming deal because I played my cards right by designating the meeting location, coming with the exact amount I was willing to pay, and then by walking away knowing I had less to lose then the man I was negotiating with.
