Argument on Why Reptiles Make Good Pets

Some people may disagree with what I’m saying out of fear or concern for the animal but most of what people hear is myths or based on shaky at best reasons like snakes being evil in the bible. Many people will often try to buy snakes or lizards that have very difficult care requirements without realizing it or are misinformed by pet stores about the proper care of “starter” pets. If people took more time to learn about these creatures they wouldn’t be neglected or released into the wild nearly as often.
Many people also don’t want to bring them in as people release them into the wild causing them to become an invasive species. While it is true that there is a python problem in Florida their other creatures that humans have released are causing the extinction of species all across the world. That is feral pets like cats especially they have led to thousands of extinctions and have put many at risk. While yes, the snakes are an issue I don’t think we should be making them illegal because of this because cats are a much bigger threat.
As shown hear reptiles are not the monsters that movies like Anaconda or Snakes on a Plane depict them as. If they were just given a chance to show how sweet and friendly they could be I believe people could find some scaly friends for life. So, do the right thing and let reptiles be available for everyone.
