- During the process of cleaning, the sign of “ Out of service” must be displayed and keep the door open.
- Every edge is required to be clean from top to the bottom line.
- Regarding the mirror cleaning process, employee has to choose the proper type of chemical which is labeled on the bottle and use the squeegee to wipe it through before coming to the final step that is shining it up by lint free with the dry cloth.
- After the part of mirror, the elevator buttons are also concerned to be clean and remove the finger print.

Routing Programs for king sized bed standard rooms
It is important for the entire housekeeping team to clean the guestroom at Dandelion Hotel the same way each time they go to room. This will ensure efficiency and safety for the employees as well as the guests. We have separated the standard single room cleaning procedures into 6 categories. Those categories are, from start to finish:
- Entering the Guest Room
- Cleaning Preparation – Remove All Trash & Linen
- Making the Bed
- Clean Bathroom
- Vacuum
- Leaving the Guest Room Ready for Inspection
Entering the Guest Room
- Knock twice announcing “housekeeping” after each know. Do not without your hands.
- Pull your cart up to the door frame as close as possible. You will do this for the following reasons: Blocks intruders from entering the room while you are cleaning, lets guests know know you are cleaning the room.
Cleaning Preparation – Remove All Trash & Linen
- Walk around the room turning all of the lights on.
- While wearing gloves collect all trash throughout the room and place in the wastebaskets.
- Strip the bed line: do not place any pillows, blankets.
- Spray the bathroom down with disinfectant.
Making the Bed
- The corners should be squared off.
- Pillow cases should not be put on the pillows by placing the pillow under your chin.
- King beds always have three pillows.
Cleaning the Bathroom
- Start with cleaning the shower walls, start in one corner, top to bottom, and work around the entire shower surround.
- Use a soft cloth and blue cleaner on any chrome in the tub.
- Clean bathtub walls and floor.
- Remove the tub stopper and clean thoroughly. Remove any hair attached to it.
- Clean the mirror with blue cleaner.
Vacuum
- Start from the farthest point in the room, working your way back to the entrance of the room with a broom, edging all of the carpet.
- Move objects such as chairs, waste baskets and, lamps to vacuum underneath them. Do not vacuum around items.
- Vacuum behind doors that are open.
Leaving the Guestroom Ready for Inspection
- All the lights should be left turned on.
- All electronics need to be left turned on. This would include: TV and Clock radio.
- All drawers need to be left open.
- All bed comforter edges need to be flipped up.
