Startup Expenses & Capitalization

There are two types of E-loading: The traditional or the Retail SIM Card and the high tech or the One SIM Load All Business.

A. TRADITIONAL LOADING (RETAIL SIM CARD)

Capital Needed 1. 3 Units of Mobile Phone (for the three networks) – for loading Globe, Smart and Sun Cellular (if you are on cost cutting, you can opt to choose one unit only and just change sims every time you dispense load to customers.

a. Estimated Capital – P3,000 (1,000/unit)

2. ELoad Compatible SIM Cards – there are SIM cards not ready yet for ELoading business which do not contain Loading Menu. Three SIM Cards for the 3 Networks.

a. Estimated Capital – P300.00 (100.pc)

3. Load Wallet – this is the actual load amount that you can dispense.

a. Estimated Capital – P3,000 (P1,000/network)

TOTAL ESTIMATED CAPITAL FOR TRADITIONAL LOADING: P6,300.00

Advantage 1. No codes to memorize

2. If one system is down, you can still load other networks

Disadvantage

1. Higher capital investment

2. 3 cellphones needed (or 2 if you’re using dual sim)

3. Capital is tied up on 1 product only (e.g. 1000 for smart, 1000 for globe, 1000 for sun)

4. Locked in to loading network loads only.

B. HIGH TECH LOADING (ONE SIM LOAD ALL BUSINESS)

Capital Needed1. 1 Unit Mobile Phone – you don’t have to buy one since you can use your existing phone and sim card. You can buy a new one if the phone is solely used for loading business.

a. Estimated Capital – P1,000.00

2. SIM Card – only one needed. ELoading menu for networks not required. Any network will do.

a. Estimated Capital – P10.00 (this is the lowest sim card on sale that I saw)

3. Load Wallet – this is the actual load amount that you can dispense.

a. Estimated Capital – P1,000 (since this is one sim load all, this will be ok for loading 3 networks, you can also choose to start with a lower capital)

TOTAL ESTIMATED CAPITAL FOR SINGLE SIM LOADING: P2,100.00

Advantage

1. Small capital and its all consumable.

2. No quota to be met.

3. One Phone, One SIM, Load All Networks.

4. Widest range of products i.e. all mobile networks plus many many more (click this link to see product list: http://loadcentralbusiness.blogspot.com/p/products.html)

5. Can sell products via computer or mobile phone.

6. Can obtain prepaid products without physical cards.

7. With greater speed and convenience.

8. Competitive discount rates.

9. Capital not tied up to any specific product.

10. Transactions can be viewed online.

11. No need for documented inventory since online account can generate sales report.

Disadvantage

1. Codes to memorize (which you will eventually be familiarized as time goes by. Codes not needed for online loading since they have dropdown menu. MyPhone units have menu based retailing compatible for Single Sim Loading)

2. If the system is down, selling is down for all networks and other products (which is very rare to happen)

Therefore, we chose the high tech loading or the one SIM load all business because of its low capital needed.
