Does it make sense that the Container Store hires ‘great people’? It is described as one of the six foundational principles of the company. Do you think this is a good Management practice? Explain your answer.
Yes the container store hires great people that being one of their sixth foundation principles, they hold on months and months for the best person for the job. I believe that it is a good management policy since the company cares for its employees providing them a good and a secure environment to work. Since job satisfaction is a main criteria, employees feel happy and sometimes willing to work overtime. This shows that the container store company has been built upon integrity, honesty and open communication thus pleasing the requirements of an employee. Although the company doesn’t provide food, water and shelter however it provides a wage more than 50 to 100 percent above the industry average to meet their needs. The employees are well recognized formally and informally thus proving to be one of the best companies to work for in America with an exceptional management practice.
