Organization Culture:
- High attention is been given to the design engineers than any other team which is reflected in the high salary. This has to be changed.
- The success of the project is based on team effort which ensures the delivery of high quality product with minimal cost. Hence the different department employees must be treated equally.
- Performance Review systems which reflects fairness and transparency should be devised.
- The interdependencies between the teams can be observed in the new structure.
- Members should identify themselves with the organization rather than the job entitled to them. This will reflect that they are also contributing to overall organization objectives.
- The Project manager should have a tight control on the overall project and can give autonomy to individual teams to achieve it.
- Conflict tolerance should be high which can improve the quality and reduce time for correction

Conclusion
It was very apparent after reviewing the situation at ORION Systems that changes were indeed required to bring about improvements in project completion times, quality, reliability, and project costs. Changes do not always require a change in organizational structure; however ORION did need to reassess how it did business. It is very well known that matrix type organizational structures work well with government contracts, so the matrix system in place will suffice for now. A reassessment which is about to be conducted by Mike Rosas will produce changes that will bring about much needed improvements in the way the company operated. When these changes are implemented by ORION Systems the future will be bright for the company and it will grab big projects like Jaguar.
