Organization development is a management plan focused on improving companies’ effectiveness and profitability. By having a solid development plan in place companies are able to develop their employees through proper training techniques. Organization development focuses on improving employee’s skills therefore increasing the overall company success rate.

The role of human resource management in career development is a vital execution. Human resource managers are essential in creating a culture within the organization. Taking employee training and development activities earnestly highlights the importance of training and how such training techniques will allow them to grow both professionally and personally. Human resource managers are the face of the organization. Collaborating with each and every individual employee, discussing any challenges they face in their career with the company, the role is to be a motivator and make the employees believe that the future of the company lies on them. Employees need to feel important and know that they have a strong encouragement team supporting them to become an indispensable resource within the company.

Personal Career Development

In five (5) years I see my career as a retail human resources management position. I feel that in order to be a successful human resources manager, you have to know your inner strengths. I know that I can work with a wide variety of employees, no matter the age or experience that they bring with them. Being able to adapt to different teaching methods to benefit the employee and insure their success in the company is critical. Already having a background in training and being so trained on the position when I started, allows me to understand both aspects of training and being a trainer. Being a good human resource manager means being a good listener and an open-minded leader within and organization.

My future company should be able to offer just as much training on human resource management as the employees are offered. Continuing to learn new and creative ways to motivate employees as well as motivating human resource managers lets the entire team know that we are all after the same results. Having a successful career in a company that invests in their employee’s success, no matter what position they hold.

I would like to believe that my future company has career development opportunities for my needs. Having the abilities to offer continuous training throughout my duration of employment to continue to learn and grow as an individual and a valuable asset to the company.

Conclusion

Knowing the importance of employee training and career development can be a long process for everyone involved. Taking the time to train employees will lead to the overall development in a companies’ success. The success of a company is based on the overall knowledge that the employees bring to the organization. Keeping employees on top of new procedures, policies, and updated technology lets them know that you are invested in their success and future with the company. Employees that feel that they are acknowledged in their career will produce and continue to bring new and innovative ideas to have continuous success.
