Most organizations, if not all, look for ways to manage their internal processes efficiently and effectively while maintaining the integrity of each practice. In human resources, this involves many things such as transactions that are linked to people. This is where Human Resource Information System comes in. It acts as an important tool to track several HR activities cost-effectively. Insufficient utilization of this system, however, is present in the sample organizations used in this study. An effective use of this system can be very powerful because it organizes and keeps valuable information in your arsenal, making it easy to identify the organization’s resources. Having that information easily accessed helps the management make better decisions instead of jumping to baseless conclusions.

In my opinion, employees are the key players to the success of any company or organization and that is why getting the right people and building a good team of professionals make the hiring process very important. To create and maintain a suitable environment for incredible professionals, an outstanding human resource management must be first created. Human Resource practices regarding the selection of employees must follow certain processes that will filter the skilled and determined people who will be valuable assets for the organization and its goals and objectives from the rest. This leads me to my next opinion that internal sourcing should be considered first before outsourcing due to many reasons. First, it will save a lot of money and time on advertising on job boards, pre-screening candidates, conducting interviews and other related activities. If you look internally, most information that you’ll be looking for is already present in HRIS which is also better because it will show the candidates’ track records with company. Second, promoting a person within the company will lead to a more highly motivated staff which will improve productivity. If a person feels that they will be rewarded by working hard, they are more likely to take ownership of the responsibility that were given to them and give their best to fulfill their jobs. Implementing this process will also boost morale in the workplace. People are always looking for ways to better themselves and if they are offered the opportunity to do so within the organization, they are less likely to leave and go elsewhere and this way you prevent costly ‘brain drain’ in your manpower resources. Choosing the right people is very important because each person being chosen brings something unique to work environment and choosing the ones with the best qualities is significant to the overall performance of the organization.
