The Role I Play in “the Story of Stuff”

After watching the video and knowing my ecological footprint, I realized that my hands are not clean. I contribute a lot to this system that causes damage to the Earth.

I also use a lot of plastic material which makes my dormitory life convenient. A pair of spoon oand fork every meal

I live in a dormitory, so mas less controlled yung kinakain, and there’s a lot of food waste im generating. Food deliveries, pagbili sa labas. From paper plates, plastic cups, plastic spoon and fork, paper bag etc. Most of the food I consume are packaged and processed already.

2nd highest consumption is goods. I am guilty of buying a lot of stuff that I don’t really need.

To lessen the harm that I am causing the earth, there should be a change in my lifestyle. I will lessen the meat in my diet. Buying metal straw, spoon and fork and reusing them will reduce plastic waste.

Distribution. Keep the people buying. Workers not paid much.

Which we experience here in our country. Cutting of trees. Mining companies. Running out of resources. Already 1/3 of the planet’s resources have been been consumed. Big corporations kinukha na din yung resources ng ibang bansa poor. No means of production. And the people living there dahil nawalan na ng resources they need other means to survive. They are forced to work in the cities to earn money. Exposed to toxics, carcinogens

Production. We use energy to mix toxic chemicals to natural resources to make toxic contaminated products. Already 100, 000 synthetic chemicals today. Toxins in toxins out. We bring these to our home, workplace, and our bodies. Not just resources but also people get wasted. Pollution. Move factories to other countries.
