for a few days and you will turn back to it on Day 4.
Day 2. On this day we are going to prepare the AP; AP actually stands for acetone peroxide. The acetone peroxide is a primary high explosive with a moderate velocity of detonation. This explosive is on the top of the list for most ripped off students’ fingers. It takes the form of a white crystalline powder with a distinctive odor; it is susceptible to heat, friction, and shock. AP is obtained by a reaction between hydrogen peroxide and acetone in an acid-catalyzed addition. First, you need to take two vessels – a bigger one and a smaller one. Pour in the latter: e.g. 300 ml acetone and 50 ml hydrogen peroxide (or any other 6:1 ratio in favour of the acetone). Then fill the bigger vessel with ice and place the smaller one on top of it. After this start adding the hydrochloric acid (this is the catalyst) very slowly and carefully; in our case you should add 150 ml. Finally, put the vessel with the mixture in your fridge, and you will turn back to it after 24 hours.
On Day 3 you will notice that on the bottom of the vessel that you have put in your fridge there is a layer of white crystalline sediment – this is the acetone peroxide! Now pour what is inside of this vessel through a filter paper, and the AP will stay on top. After you do this, simply neutralize the acetone peroxide with the baking soda and leave the former at a dry place for the next 24 hours. I want to emphasize that this is an extremely volatile explosive which can sometimes explode for seemingly no reason; therefore do not store AP for more than one day – just use it on the spot!
Now that we have all the necessary ingredients, I will present to you a very simple and safe way to pack your explosives and prepare them for use. It is good to know that 10 grams of acetone peroxide can effectively detonate 500 grams of ANFO. First, you need to make a paper cylinder and fill it up with AP. Then attach a fuse to this cylinder; the fuse has to be at least 2,5 meters long. We will call this our booster charge. Now take a metal cylinder with a diameter between 20 and 30 centimeters and put a little amount of ANFO in it. Then place the booster charge inside of the cylinder and fill the rest with ANFO; you may also put some aluminium foil on top of it. Finally, we are fired up and ready to go!!!
Have you ever asked yourselves what would life be if explosives had not been invented? Don’t you think that this would change the course of history, as we know it, as well as our lives? Hardly any of us give this a thought. I’m not a terrorist and I don’t want to talk anyone into making things he/she doesn’t like; if this is the case, then my appeal to you is to simply read carefully, analyze, and try to learn something new because, believe me, 95% (or even more) of the population of planet Earth is ignorant on this matter. And finally, remember that there are very few personal problems that cannot be solved through a suitable application of high explosives.
