What is Zopim lacking of and how can they improve?

Olark is Zopim’s main competitor. In terms of templates and customization, Olark has a lot more to offer. It has a easier to match the design of your chat widget with that of your website. They also have range of seasonal designs. This is especially important for ecommerce sites that are selling products that are more on the artistic side. Hence, Zopim could improve by providing more choices of templates and design customizations.

Also, Olark would route messages that will come through in multiple channels that helps business owners to capture every single chat. However, when one launches Zopim on your mobile, they get logged out of any web dashboards that they have opened. Hence, when one uses the mobile app, there is a higher possiblity that the agents will end up thinking they are online and available when they actually are not. This could be improved to allow simultaneous sessions someday from multiple devices.

6. So, is Zopim or her competitors (Eg.Olark) better?

Both providers are two of the best live chat tools available in the marketplace today.

However, if one is looking for a clean, effective way to enable your customers to find you when they need you on your site, Olark would be a recommended choice.

On the other hand, if one needs a whole customer service solution and have more than a few agents using the service desk and the chat tool, then Zopim will be a better option to go for.

Overall, Zopim is more price-competitive as compared to Olarke if one could forsake the possiblity of losing some chats and design templates. Therefore, I believe that Zopim currently has a slight edge over Olark.
