A home without fire rocket

Rocket easy Casero. A lot of people love fireworks, rockets and things that go pulled off the air. Unfortunately, many times these ostentatious reactions are very dangerous and can not be experienced without special equipment and space for it. Fortunately, there are some experiments that allow us to throw objects into the air from virtually crashworthy.

Prepare a homemade rocket is very simple and fun, plus it can be leveraged to explain many phenomena of gases. This is desirable for several reasons: first, because gases are "relatively" easier to study substances, so always used to introduce interested in the world of chemistry. Secondly, it serves to remove the concerns of many people about throwing things at the ceiling without danger.

Materials

* A bottle

* A cork in the bottle fit (if smaller cork does not matter, we will increase its diameter tape)

* Scotch tape

* Paper strips of various colors (optional)

* Water

* Vinegar

* Bicarbonate

* Absorbent paper or a napkin

How to proceed

This experiment requires less than 10 minutes of preparation. First and most importantly, away from windows and objects of our parents that we can knock down and upset them very much. Once selected the place, for example in the garden, all you have to do is put the water in the bottle with vinegar. Then wrap all the baking on the napkin or the absorbent paper (the latter is better, it gives us a little more time). The tape and strips of paper are to adorn the cork, which in this case is the rocket that will launch in the air, but is merely optional).

We are ready to start. We took the napkin with well compacted bicarbonate and get into the water bottle with vinegar. Quickly we cover the bottle with cork as hard as we can and we just have to wait. Soon, the cork will shoot together with all the shredded paper we put him, giving us a homemade rocket show.

Explanation

Vinegar reacts very rapidly with the bicarbonate, releasing large amounts of a gas called carbon dioxide. This gas begins to exert enormous pressure on the walls of the bottle. Once the pressure is sufficient, the gas will escape from the place lower this resistance, which in this case is cork.

Candle raising of water

The experiment that today we present has to do directly with the physical and explains the combustion process and how it behaves when air or there is not.

What exactly burning?

So there must have oxygen combustion because oxygen is what is burning. If a room is suddenly were burning and oxygen it was over, the fire extinguished itself. The atoms in the fuel are mixed with oxygen.

Once combustion has started, is to remain alone until you finish all the oxygen in the room. Let's take an example, when we eat, the body stores the energy you eat and will gradually dropping as the we need, however, when it comes to combustion, energy is released suddenly.

What is needed for the experiment?

* 1 candle

* 3 currency

* 1 clear glass

* 1 bowl with water

Experiment sailing and water is

The first step is to light a candle and wax this paste to a bowl. Put water in this dish - the dish should be able to at least 3 cm high, so it is best to use a llano- dish and put the coins on which'll put the glass.

Now light the candle and put the glass on these currencies, seeing it is raised so that water can enter into this with no problem.

In a few seconds you will see as the water level began to rise and the candle went out. Raising the water, the oxygen within the vessel was burned quickly and so the sail and could not hold on.

Because it happens?

For there is fire, there must be three things that can not be missing: the fuel is burning, the combustion is always the oxygen and sparkle. By enclosing the candle in the glass, oxygen is consumed because the fire continue burning ara uses, to finish oxygen flame is extinguished.

Experiment magic egg

Yes, we know that an egg is so fragile that it cannot hit him too hard or crack. However, there is a way to bounce an egg without breaking it.
