Plastic: a killer

In CVIS we as students in the school are following out a project about reducing plastic. Currently we consume plastic bags in vain when we should use reusable bags and then we would avoid contaminate the environment.

Plastic spend very much time degrade and in that time it pollutions the earth and the water, also it damage many animals.

We had analyze in class that many unconscious people throw garbage in the street and then when it rains it is conducted to the beach.

In environmental classes we had learned that in the ocean there are five plastic islands. Recent studies revels the discovery of microplastic (small particles even 5mm of diameter) in such remote marine habitats. Marine biologists had found plastic in the stomachs of animals such as fish, birds, turtles, and other marine animals.

The catastrophic thing is that due to the plastic pollution many animals are in danger. It is terrible how animals can get confuse and eat plastic thinking it is food.

In class we try to make a change, first understanding the big problem and second we are trying to make conscience in the people about use reusable bags instead the plastic ones.

We care about the environment and also we are working on make ashtrays with reusable plastic to try to preserve the beach clean.

And then I want to invite you to do the same thing, to make conscience about the big damage we are provoking, how we are destabilizing the food chain, and to tell others about refuse to plastic consume, reduce it, reuse it, and recycle it.

So let´s start setting the example and educating everyone about it, especially the little kids because tomorrow they will be the future.
