This teaching is about Jesus proving himself to the people listening to him. For a second, the people were questioning him in their hearts. They could not believe that Jesus was forgiving the sins of that man because they thought that only God is able to do that. Jesus proved that he is the Son of God and he “has the authority on earth to forgive sins,” (Mark 2: 10). Jesus proved this aspect of his nature, that he is the Son of God and can do such holy deeds.
My belief of Jesus is that he is my Lord and Savior, and the Son of God. I belief that he died on the cross for my sins. Jesus was the perfect example of what a Christian aspires to be like. I completely belief that he is sitting at the right hand of the Father, preparing a spot for me, and everyone around me, in Heaven. I believe in the Holy Trinity, and that includes God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus was present in creation and was sent to earth to die for our sins when the world was at its worst. There was unending corruption and the implication of the “self.” Jesus made the most precious sacrifice for all of humanity, which was being crucified. If Jesus himself were to ask me who I believed he was, I would say that he is my Lord and Savior and that I am so blessed that he came to save us of our sins. Because of Jesus, sinful souls may be forgiven and have the gift of Eternity with God in Heaven.
