Mental Illness has grown so much with the year and now of days it is a better treatment with people that have a mental disorder. Now of days people have come up with names for mental disorders a few of them are; bipolar disorder, neurotransmitter-related to chemical imbalances, stress related factors, medical conditions, neuropathology, nutritional factors, psychodynamic theories, and trauma related factors and that is just a few names. I have worked with kids and adults with bipolar and Down syndrome and I learned a lot working with them. I feel that with them taking all of the medication nothing real help them get better and I always wanted to know why, but as time have went on I learned that it help them have a better day to deal with the things that it going on with them. I have seen when they don’t take them medical how they feeling and the way they act changes and know that it is better for them to take the medication. I thought that the doctor just was giving them all of those meds for no reason but I was wrong.
Mental health has change from century to century and I think that know it is getting better for people with mental disorder. This has been a long journey and a lot of this has happen but now that doctors are getting a better understanding of the disorder, it is helping the people that have them out in a better way. I pray that one day the doctor will have a better treatment for people with disorder the will change them or they disorder in a great way.
