Biblical Application
In the Bible, there is a verse that says to rest on him. The way I apply this in my life is we have daily duties and struggles but God creates everything in his perfect way. God created sleep, he didn’t create us to stress, we were created to rest in him. Sleep was God's Idea, God wonderfully created mankind to rest about one-third of their lives. It is a daily reminder of our lack of control and need for surrender. Jesus modeled the perfect balance between activity and rest. Trusting calmly in the protection and provision of His Father, Jesus slept peacefully in the bow of a ship during a raging storm. Having the Spirit of Christ within, those of us who believe can rest in the peaceful assurance that God has our back—no matter what storms come our way (Luke 8:22-25; Mark 4:35-41; Psalm 4:8; Psalm 3:5).
Textbook Application
According to the textbook one of the causes of sleep deprivation is insomnia. Insomnia is difficulty sleeping, frequent nighttime awakenings, waking up too early or a mixture of these problems. Many students with insomnia is because of the work load we have in school.
Personal Application
This survey has taught me that I need to change my routine. I tend to sleep late and try to nap during the day because of how tired I am. I need to change the times I go to sleep, but I realized I also need to be physically active outside so I will not be as tired during the day. This survey showed me that I do have sleep deprivation and not having enough sleep affects me in school, work and my personal life.
