Before moving on to concluding remarks, I would like to summarize the argument that has been made in this paper. I believe that due to the Black Swan Effect and the Hawthorne effect phenomena, neither historians nor human sciences are able to make reasonable projections of the future, as most of the major events that have affected the course of our history were highly unpredictable and uncontrollable.

Thus, I’d like to conclude by stating that after doing the research for this paper, I have realized that a human scientist and a historian have a very similar task – that is to understand the present, using the knowledge that has been previously gathered by other human scientists and historians. As discussed previously, although both the human scientists and the historians are looking to change the future, they are unable to do so in a reasonable manner, because their projections cannot be taken as the ultimate truth, due to the fact that it is difficult to foresee an event, which could impact the world as a whole to such a large degree, that any projection will essentially become futile.
