“Behrampada is a densely populated slum and it consists of multi-storey pockets which reaches upto the skywalk which connectes Bandra East to the railway station. The household item that were there in the houses of the people who were residing there caused the fire to grow bigger and even the velocity of the wind added up to the spread of fire over 20,000 sq meter.” This was said by the officials of the fire brigade.

The fire also affected the train services on the central and western railway. The trains which were running in this railways stations were also delayed for 2 hours and several other trains which were still running was not on time those were running late. In the western railway station the trains were running in a restricted speed after the caution order was issued.The skywalk and the ticket counters were also shut on the east side.

The police official and the officials of the fire brigade who were present there at the spot were the incident took place found it difficult to handle the crowd who had gathered there for clicking selfies and there were also some local people staying there who were panicing as some of their family memebers were lost in the crowd.

While talking to the localites it had become very difficult because everyone who were present there were panicing and were scared. The people who were injured in the the fire there family member were taken to the hospital they were admitted in. There were also some families whose family members were missing or were just lost in the crowd that was present just outside the slum. Many kids who were playing in the nearby areas were the incident took place some among them were also injured.
