The abovementioned accomplishment on PLS, prior to its approval were subjected to inspection and verification ,( which include review of completeness of submitted survey returns and field verification) by the composite Inspectorate Team created per Regional Special Order No. 2011-003 dated July 11, 2011. The Team Leader of the composite team is the CENR Officer where the area to be validated is under his/her jurisdiction.
- Inspection, Verification and Approval of Surveys (IVAS)
Based on approved Work and Financial Plan for CY 2011, annual target on IVAS is 22,726 hectares, these include completed Public Lands Surveys conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
The IVAS activities which include review of completeness of submitted survey returns and field verification was undertaken by the technical personnel from the Surveys Division and for approval by the RTD.
For the year, accomplishment on IVAS is above par or 46,752.57 hectares which is 206 percent versus its target of 22, 726 hectares.
- Special Events – Joint Hangdog Titulo Program
The Hangdog Titulo Ceremony was conducted on June 13, 2011 at DENR XII, Quadrangle, Koronadal City. The program started with a recorded invocation followed by the singing of the National Anthem, DENR Hymn, South Cotabato Hymn and “Martsa ng Lungsod ng Koronadal.”
Then RTD for Lands welcome all the guests to include LGU Key Officials (Governor Pingoy, Mayor Miguel, Mayor Garingo and Barangay Captains), personnel from Land Registration Authority, farmer/beneficiaries and of course DENR employees from the region and field offices while
Regional Executive Director Alfredo S. Pascual delivered an inspirational message which goes . . . “Lands are the essence of life and a valuable asset; Let us make our lands productive in order to uplift not only our living condition but also our economy”.
The awarding of patents/titles was very successful and remarkable as it is the first ever Handog Titulo activity conducted at the Regional Office. A total of Five Hundred Thirty Seven (537) titles were awarded to the farmer/beneficiaries coming from the four provinces namely: for South Cotabato Province awarded were 123 patents; for Sultan Kudarat Province 121 patents; for Cotabato Province, 19 patents; and Sarangani Province awarded were 274 patents.
The Chief of Surveys Division Engr. Romualdo B. Villanueva in his closing remarks advised land owners that the land titles they are holding be taken-cared of, as well as the land they now perfectly owned, must not be sold.
