that children gain a great amount from attending a program. From my own experience I’ve gained many close friends, head start’s in the grade I was going to be in next, many life skills, opportunities, and somewhere to keep them busy and out of trouble. Also a opportunity to start life out with a plan with people to help you the best way they can for you to be successful with that plan.

Yes. I have much leadership experience. I have taken many classes and been in many programs on how to be a leader, the values of being a leader, and why it is important to be one.

Three goals in applying to work in this program would be to experience applying for a job, explain my experience that retain to this job and try to utilize every skill I have learned from all the programs I have been involved in such as Heads-Up to fill out this application.

Some skills that I have acquired from extracurricular activities that would make me a good candidate for the position would be from Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company. From that program I have acquired confidence, ways to impact others b performance and telling my story through dance and theatre to make a change in peoples lives in a way I feel comfortable. I have learned how to tell stories that will engage people. Also in leadership classes I have taken I have learned how to plan and hold fundraisers.

I think that training me how to keep all students engaged with what we are doing and introduce some ways to help children with confidence other than performance which I am well aware of.

If I were able to propose a new camp tradition it would be to a celebrity visit or some successful or on their way to success come and speak to everyone about their life and the way they came to be.

I have attended Heads-Up summer camp since 5th grade. A memorable moment at the camp was when we went to se a play called "The House That Will Not Stand". The play gave me much history and pointers for myself as a performer.

My counselor name would be Butterfly because the way butterfly are came to be is a big symbol and meaning to me. I think that it symbolizes that people, life, destiny and more can change.

I would like you to consider that I am coming to stay in Oakland to be apart of this process and that it would be a nice place to keep me busy and out of the slightest trouble.
