Hitler’s nationalistic policy was the reason that led to the Second World War. Hitler committed suicide when Germany surrendered to the Allied Powers.

THE SECOND WORLD WAR

The war which spread from September 1939 to August 1945 for six long years is known as the 2nd World War. The first stage of the war spread between European countries and gradually turned into a World War.

The causes for the World War II:-

GERMANY BECOMES POWERFUL UNDER HITLER

Germany had many crises after the 1st World War

☞ such as unemployment,

☞ the world economic depression of 1929

☞ accepting the Treaty of Versailles

German people had the feeling that their nation was subjected to humiliation and injustice by the Treaty of Versailles. Because of the treaty, German nation scattered in several nations. (Eg: - 60 lakhs of Germans in Austria, 30 lakhs in Czechoslovakia and a large number in Poland.)

Therefore, Germany was one of the poorest countries in Europe. In this situation, Hitler aroused the national feeling and aspirations of the German people. He told people to give him the support to cancel the treaty of Versailles and to restore Germany to the status prior to 1914.
