Apple mostly focuses its approach in creating new products that shall enable the company to create considerable amounts of profit disregarding of what the product is. Contrary to Apple, Microsoft approaches production with the aim of becoming the dominating company in the market disregarding the profit it makes. Most technology companies have been following Microsoft’s strategy of dominating the market, regardless of profits terming it as the best strategy for a future oriented company. Nonetheless, Apple has been operating strong with profits for several years without a dictatorial and autocratic behavior like Microsoft.
In terms of marketing of the internet features, the companies additionally have different approaches. Apple sells its products using a minimalist marketing strategy which its definition is that Apple focuses on the most essential and successful tasks for the consumers. The company concludes that most of its consumers do not have the time to search through the internet to come upon so many options thus overwhelming the consumer. Apple design tactics focus on services so that people can find their needs with less time but additional money. Microsoft on the other hand has its focus to give the consumer s as many possible options. The company assumes the consumer must spend some research on what are the best options according to them. The company has its software distributed across many devices that it provides consumers with the cheapest and most expensive devices the person can get, of course it all depends on the person’s needs. Microsoft consumers tend to have more time and less money thus being different to Apple. This demonstrates that the two companies’ commerce strategies are shaped for different customers.
