the very same reason why Apple is resisting Google’s repeated efforts for a common mobile platform. Although Google, Apple, and Microsoft are still young companies, whoever moves first will have a great advantage.

4. Google, because their search engine has so much going for it and the positives outweigh the negatives. The main positive aspects of Google that make them a clear winner are: them being a well-established and known name. Also, the company overtime has entered into all three markets of computing, which are hardware, application stores, and operating systems. Google’s hardware is one that others can possible beat, but Android’s operating system is in the lead by taking over the market. Another positive being that Google bet on the App store, which is the most relevant feature computing. This puts Google at a high advantage. There are thousands of apps already online and many more to come and Google is in the lead. With Google’s acquisition of the app developers, it’s any day now that they can take out Apple and Microsoft, completely.

Of course, there are slight roadblocks that Google will have to face, such as the brand lacking appeal of an Apple device, or the Android system having minor errors in newer updates, or Google moving towards more common applications. Therefore, it can be determined that Google has many positives that help them succeed, and if they were to manage their cons, they can definitely pull ahead of their competitors in this ‘battle’.

5. Consumers would automatically be forced to purchase a single product and only use the single service. The positives would create standards and this creates the ‘monopoly’. Not only that, but it can possibly affect the quality and prices would increase as there will be no competition. Having no competition may sound great, but this would mean no one can urge the monopolists from outside the company to improve their products, lower prices, or make the company unique. It is clearly to early to tell, as of right now, who will dominate the internet, but competition is good.
