Professional Section:  Job or Occupation in Five Years

        My present occupation is Director of Human Resources for _________ _______.  I like my present job and plan to remain in the field of Human Resources throughout the rest of my career.  Within the next five years I would also like to begin teaching college level Human Resource courses.  The milestones which I feel as though I need to reach in order to become a college professor would first and foremost include obtaining a Master’s Degree.  I also feel as though completing the Certified Public Manger’s Certification through _________ University would be of great benefit to me.  This program is a two year program and I have completed one year of the program.  Therefore, before the next five years expire, I would like to complete both the Master’s Degree and Certified Public Manager’s Certification.  Lastly, I need to focus more time on improving my writing skills through either practicing or maybe taking a course.  I am a fairly decent writer, but if I want to teach college students I need to improve my skills.  My ability to remember or to memorize should assist me in improving my grammar skills.  I plan to either take an additional course in English or to practice on-line prior to becoming a teacher.  

Personal Section:  Goal 1        

Five years from now I would like to be able to say: “I have spent quality time with my husband and granddaughter.”  I sometimes work a lot and also go to school. However, I do not want to look back on the next five years and feel as though I neglected my time with my family.  In order to spend time with my family, I will set aside time at the beginning of each month to do a family activity during that month.  I will not deviate from this schedule because my family is very important to me.  I will also plan a yearly trip with my family even if the trip means taking a weekend trip somewhere so we can spend some quality time together.   I will make certain on the main holidays, I do not use this time to catch-up on school work, but rather will focus on my family.

Personal Section: Goal 2        

In the next five years I will also complete some of my educational goals.  Within the next two years I will complete my Master’s Degree.  Thereafter, I will to complete the Certified Public Manager’s course through ___________.  Lastly, I will to explore my options for obtaining a doctorate degree.              

Personal Section: Goal 3        

In the next five years I will improve my personal character by continuing to give time to other less fortunate than myself.  It is important to give to those who are less fortunate.  I will spend time donating time to different non-profit organizations; by coordinating activities for the less fortunate through my employment with _______________; and by making monetary donations when I can.  A good example of making donations is the “Coats for Kids” drive which is currently underway in our community.  I always buy one new coat for a child to donate.   During the next five years I will choose at least one organization each year to make a priority.  

Spiritual Section: Goal 1        

Spiritually, I would like to grow in my spiritual relationship with God.  I will grow by attending small group classes through the church to learn and study more of the Christian beliefs.  I will attend one small class session per year.  I will attend church at least one Sunday a month during the next five years, and during the time I set aside to read, I will study my Bible so I can grow in my relationship with God.

Spiritual Section: Goal 2

Over the next five years, I also want to become more active with my church.  I will become more active by volunteering at the church.  I will volunteer for at least one event per year.  I will spend time with my sister and my parents because they are very supportive of me and are very religious people.  I will spend spiritual time with my family at least one time per month.
