Conclusion:
Through my various methods of research I have found some of the primary reasons why African Americans are the targets of crimes and police brutality. Racial supremacy and the fact that little to no action is taken against law enforcement agents who use police brutality . These two factors actually tie into each other really well. Lower class whites needed to feel superior to someone during the era of slavery and blacks were the perfect target. This is when they instituted a wave of propaganda that deemed blacks as savages, ignorant, and not human. Since blacks weren’t seen as humans it wasn’t seen as a problem when violence was used to stop the elevation of human rights of blacks. A mindset that whites were racially superior back has been instituted from generation to generation. This mindset is why we see these social issues involving blacks being the targets of crimes and police brutality. To conclude, racial superiority and minimum consequences for police brutality are the reasons behind the high racially motivated crimes and police brutality against blacks.
