If more jobs were opened or given to these people, many will have decent jobs and many will be able to feed their families without having to sell their bodies or do other things for money.

The third solution I came up with is the legalization of prostitution here in the Philippines. I am not saying that I am for prostitution, but I also acknowledge that it is something that has a growing market here in the Philippines. There are several places here in the Philippines that have a growing market for the sex industry with one example being Pampanga. The documentary also touched on the fact that these women are being maltreated or being treated inhumanely by the foreigners who pay them for sex. The reason why this is happening is because there are no laws or official rules that are stopping them from treating prostitutes badly. This is the reason why I want prostitution to be legalized here in the Philippines, because if it is legal and is acknowledged as an official business by the government, then there will be laws

and regulations provided that will protect the women in the sex industry from being maltreated by those who pay for sex with them.

The sex industry is a growing industry, one that is growing everyday without the whole Philippines knowing much about it. The reason why we should discuss and solve the social issue is because there are many underlying problems that people most often do not take time knowing. People or students like me, only have very little knowledge of something we should be addressing and it should not stay that way.
