"Could you tell?I couldn’t tell" as the end of his introductory paragraph.I think these words may confuse the reader and let them complain that "If you also don’t know, why would you ask me,to show you had known the answer already! "Before reading the end,the reader may have some expression of the content of those questions. But after reading this end,the reader may get a potential message,a wrong one, they can forget those questions because the writer also can’t give them the answer.Even more they may have a sense of being tricked. In fact, the content of those questions will occur in the following paragraph and the reader should pay some attention to them.I think that the end of the introductory paragraph wants to show the writer’s objective attitude and to create an atmosphere of mysterious.According to the end of this essay"You have to go to it.You have to open the door to make it stop.",these two sentence clearly show writer’s main idea----we should do something efficient to help strangers, anytime and anywhere.

In conclusion, the introductory paragraph don’t introduce the writer’s main idea clearly. But saying "he doesn’t explain his main idea in the body paragraph" is also wrong and unfair. My comment is considered all of the confused beginning, smooth body paragraph and the clear end.So I think it’s unsuitable to say that the writer introduces his main idea in the introductory paragraph or not.I prefer to give a more objective comment that at the beginning, the writer mentions his main idea but not introduce it to the reader clearly. But while reading the following paragraphs, the reader will know, step by step, what the writer’s main idea is,in the introductory paragraph. And the reader also will have a sense that the writer has explained his main idea in the body paragraph actually.
