The new Trump administration has stated that it intends of doing away with the Affordable Care Act program; claiming it too expensive to run. Shannon Munchmore, writer for Modern Healthcare, stated “At the second general election debate, Donald Trump once again touted allowing health insurers to sell plans across state lines as a way to make coverage affordable after killing the Affordable Care Act (1). If the Trump administration pursues the repel of Affordable Care Act, approximately twenty-five million Americans would find themselves without insurance coverage. Insurance coverage is not affordable to all and has become national burden. American government has tasked itself to find ways in which to support all individuals including the people of low-income, wealthy background, sick or healthy. Regardless of individual view points and political standing, health insurance, good or bad, affordable or not, required or not, is an essential tool that protects the individual from financial ruin when a health crisis or need occurs.
