Both of the characters got mature after they face problems with their friends and lovers. Cady falls in love with Aaron Samuels and become friends with Janis Ian and Damian. Also she became enemy of Regina George. In order to gain what she wants she pretend like plastic. Janis Ian said “hey, buddy, you’re not pretending anymore. You’re plastic. Cold, shiny, hard plastic.” She really became plastic. She lied and talked bad about others in order to revenge Regina George and to gain Aaron. It was late when she realized that she became plastic. She lost her friends and Aaron hated her. So made up her mistake by admitting her fault and sharing the tiara. Max also grew mature when he falls in love with Ms.Cross, realize one of his friend, Mr. Blume, betrayed him, and expelled from Rushmore school. Max started war with Mr.Blume for betraying him. He putted bees into Mr.Blume’s hotel room. The sound added loud, aggressive, and chaotic feeling. In order to make Ms.Cross to like him he tried to build an aquarium on the school baseball diamond which lead him to expelled from Rushmore.After he faces those problems he grows mature and regrets his actions and lies. So he tries make up his fault by making the most ambitious school play and show it to everyone.

People face lots of problems as they grow and they grows mature by learning from those problems. Cady and Max faced problems with lover, friends and school and those problems lead them to realize their fault. They grew mature when they admit they fault and tried to make it up.
