MANILA, Philippines - Dalawang kampeonato ang nakamit ng San Mig Coffee (dating Purefoods) sa apat na beses nilang paghawak sa 3-2 bentahe sa best-of-seven championship series.

Hangad na makuha ang kanilang pang-10 korona, lalabanan ng Mixers ang Petron Blaze Boosters sa Game Six ngayong alas-8 ng gabi para sa 2013 PBA Governors’ Cup sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Inaasahan ni San Mig Coffee head coach Tim Cone na hindi basta-basta bibitaw sa serye ang Petron ni rookie mentor Gee Abanilla.

“As the series gets longer it gets tougher,” ani Cone. “Our mindset is that it’s going to be tougher than the last game.”

“I’ve been here before, and I don’t want to overstate the fact that they’re a good team. I don’t want to be prophetic saying they’re capable of turning the series around. We’re just gonna rely on our games and just play,” ani Cone, nagbigay ng 13 titulo para sa Alaska.

Muling ibabandera ng San Mig Coffee sina Best Import Marqus Blakely, two-time PBA Most Valuable Player James Yap, Joe Devance, PJ Simon, Marc Pingris, Mark Barroca at rookie Alex Mallari.

“Hindi na namin pakakawalan itong opportunity na ibinigay sa akin,” sabi ni Pingris.

Naniniwala naman si Petron rookie coach Gee Abanilla na makakatabla sila sa serye sa likod nina Millsap, 2013 PBA MVP at Best Player of the Conference Arwind Santos, rookie center June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, Marcio Lassiter at Chris Lutz.
