Executive Summary
Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd is getting vital in the Malaysian construction field, and it has done and completed various building types consisting of housing, high-rise condominium, commercial building, factory, offices and hospital. It was founded by Mr Tang Soon Peng in 2002 as a construction corporation.
This report is aim to analyse the communication process of Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd. Verbal communication, Informal communication and Social media are the internal communication methods while written communication and contract communication are the external communication method. Strengths and weaknesses of each method had been evaluated and the challenges of the communication process also been analyse through the report.
At the end of the report, there are some recommendations have been given, it recommended the company to further focus on face-to-face communication internal, social media also highly recommended to practice further internal and external.

1.0 Introduction to Report
Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd is getting vital in the Malaysian construction field, and it has done and completed various building types consisting of housing, high-rise condominium, commercial building, factory, offices and hospital. Since this company has already 14 years in the market and it keep developing and growth become a big company. Thus, the internal communication between office and sides are important and also the external communication with suppliers and clients, it will let the company process more efficiency and effectively.
This report is organized to portray the details, sequential findings that communication method used by Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd .Therefore, this report will discuss about the internal and external communication method that adopted by the company and analyse the challenges, weaknesses and strengths. In order to fully understand the activities involved, this report has broken down into several components which encircle the brief background of Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd, organizational structure, daily operations, market strategies, recruitment and recognition of the company. Recommendations are also will provided as avenues to overcome the weaknesses or challenges.

2.0 Background to Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd
Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd was formed in 2002. The management of the company is aiming to become a multi-discipline practices organization which will acquire professional and highly competent name regionally in the areas of space and facilities planning, interior designing and implementation for factories, buildings, banks, mechanical and electrical jobs, commercial buildings, hospitals and residential projects.
The Company structure and culture, aiming to strive to exceed the expectations of clients, from taking ownership of responsibilities to remaining committed to a project from start to finish. The company go above and beyond to implement Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on everything. Teamwork is achieved by leveraging individual strengths, proactive to problems solving and harmony among all the team members. Working in this cultivates trust and respect for each team member and maximizes productivity.

2.3 Recruitment and Operation time
Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd has recruited 50 employees in the company recently. Office working hours is from 9am to 5pm and site office working hours is from 8am to 5pm.
2.4 Recognition
Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd had successfully complied and obtained ISO 9001:2008 certifications by UKAS. Furthermore, the company has received the QLASSIC awards. All certificates can refer to appendix B, C, and D.

3.0 Internal Communication
Internal communication is the communication that set up within a company between and among employees. Construction is a fragmented and dynamic sector with a project-based nature. Thus, the communication between the office and the construction sides is very important. Nowadays, there are many foreign workers working in the sides even though the foreman also a foreigner, so they might not understand the instruction from the office clearly, therefore there will have some difficulty incurred. Thus, Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd had given some example of the communication method or tools which the company use these tools or method to pass the message clearly.
3.1 Verbal Communication
Verbal communication seen to be face-to-face conversation, group discussions, counselling and others. Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd actually has many meetings with people who have different culture, ages and with different levels of experience, so this communication method is important to company. Employees of Setara Pelana Sdn Bhd communicate verbally to exchange ideas, information or expressing the instruction to the side workers. For instance, the employees of the company will have meeting within the departments and sides alternate weeks to discuss about the latest market information and the operation issues. Moreover, the foreman from the side will also received the instructions from upper level and send the messages to workers verbally and clearly.
